I feel like we get so lost in this busy life trying to get everything and anything done. At this phase of my life, time seems like flying like an electricity. You go to work and suddenly it is lunch time, and then it is log off time. Then you go home, make dinner, watch TV, do grocery, scroll your phone, do some cleaning or whatever you do as a routine. And that typical day continues seven days a week. (Speaking of seven, go check out SEVEN by Jungkook lol) On weekend, you catch up all the things you couldn’t do during week such as laundry, meeting friends, going to concert, night out or whatever.

I gave it some thoughts and it is such a waste of time and life living this same day over and over again. Yes, we are always so busy. Busy making money, busy achieving things, busy living your life. But, is that busy life the one you wanted? If so, if you’re happy living busy life and doing what you want and working yourself, then this article is not for you lol. Good for you, mate!

And for the others who don’t seem to be enjoying their everyday life and living for weekends/holidays, instead, folks, we need to talk!!

Yes, we are busy. But no one is crazy busy. It is matter of a priority. If something is important enough, you always make time. You do. So, why not prioritizing your dream life if your current life is not the one you want?

Please don’t tell me you make time for scrolling through social media while you don’t have time for making changes in your life. I would not blame because I was that person until recently too. I would think to myself how little time I have to work on things while my screen time was out of control. So, I had to take control. I had to be in charge. I will not share some cliché. I will be realistic.

It is all about habits. Small habits shape us becoming who we are. So, in order to make changes in life, we need to focus on our habits. Start simple and small. It takes time to make it a habit. Give it a time. Be consistent. Do not expect overnight results.

Start small. Start today. Limit your screentime. Do something everyday to help reaching what you want. It can be anything super small. You don’t have to read a 300-page books in a book. Instead, read 30 pages every day. Don’t skip a day. Then you will be able to read that book in 10 days. It’s that simple. Don’t do too much, don’t doo too less, but do every day.

Don’t take too much attention to what others are doing and what they are achieving. Instead, focus on yours. We all live a different life. No point in watching people and making comparisons.

So, I want you to take a moment, breath and I ask yourself some questions you have been perhaps avoiding:

  • Do you live your dream life? Maybe not now. But are you working on to create that life in the future?
  • Do you have habits that you wish to change? Start today. Change them into healthy ones that help you grow.
  • Do you love your job? You don’t have to love love your job. It helps us paying bills. But do you at least feel happy where you are working? Do you get to offer your creativity? Does the job challenge you and grow you?
  • Do you do things in life for your favor or to please others? Maybe sometimes? Maybe, we need to change that, dears. Normalize saying no without guilty.
  • How do you see yourself in 5, 10 years? Are you doing things that will bring you to that life in 5, 10 years?
  • Are you happy overall?
  • What do you wish to change? Good, you recognize them. Now go ahead and make those changes.
  • Do you wake up feeling excited for the day? Well, yes, not everyday. At least most days? If not, do something you like everyday to make you feel good and alive.
  • It is your life for god’s sake. Don’t waste it.

Get up, dress up, show up and fix yourself. You got this.
