Monday Motivation: The Power of Showing Up

Probably the biggest lesson I learned in 2023. It is showing up. Showing up for myself. Showing up for my future self. Showing up for the person I want to become.

I also learned that ‘motivation’ is not the factor for your success. Motivation doesn’t come to you. You create your motivation. You do the work. When you keep doing, you keep being motivated — yes, that’s how it works. If you wait for your ‘motivation’ to come so you can start working, you may will be waiting for a long time.

There will be days when you don’t feel like doing anything. But you have to keep showing up (unless you are sick or any other respective reasons). That’s how you keep going. That is how you reach to what you want.

Another realization from this year for me was that I always showed up for people but made excuses when it is time to show up for myself.

Keeping your promises is being responsible, I believed in my entire life. But, how are you gonna give energy and fill others’ cup when yours is empty? Gotta make sure your own cup is filled with love so you serve the world!

Based on all the books I read, podcasts I listened, and the advice I heard, there are only few repeated messages. And one of them is this. Showing up for yourself whether it is raining, snowing, feeling bad and so on.

Then you have to be consistent to see results. It will take time. It will take lots of failures. Be ready to fail and be ready to feel uncomfortable.

Many of us including me like to feel safe and we are afraid of trying new things or challenging us. Well, how long are we going to wait? Our time on this planet is short.

To create a beautiful life of yours, be against the odds, be comfortable with being uncomfortable, and show up for yourself every day. Choose yourself. Make sure you’re happy and make sure you’re the priority.

Have a great week, everyone!
